Cyber Crime
What Is Cyber Crime Law?
With the rapid expansion of the digital world, cybercrime has become a major concern. Cybercrime refers to any illegal activity committed using digital platforms, including online fraud, hacking, identity theft, phishing scams, cyberbullying, and unauthorized data breaches.
To address these threats, the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) include provisions for cyber offenses. These laws strengthen digital security by penalizing hacking, data theft, cyberstalking, financial fraud, and unauthorized access to sensitive information. They ensure legal safeguards against emerging cyber threats while protecting individuals and businesses.
A dedicated Cyber Crime Cell handles investigations, and strict legal actions are taken against offenders. With the increasing use of e-commerce and digital payments, strong cyber laws are essential to safeguard individuals and businesses from cyber threats.
